You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service.

3. Use of the Service

You may use Deepnotis solely for lawful academic or professional purposes. You agree not to:

• Upload content that violates copyright, privacy, or data protection laws.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, tamper with, or misuse the platform.
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities.
• Circumvent our pricing, credit, or access systems.

4. Accounts and Access

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain full rights to your uploaded documents and converted outputs. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Limited Review: We may review uploaded documents in rare cases to debug or improve the Service, but only confidentially and in compliance with our Privacy Policy.

Our IP: All intellectual property related to Deepnotis (software, branding, UI) is owned by PLAYBLAST LTD.

6. Credits and Payments

Credit System: Deepnotis uses a credit-based system. One credit equals one footnote processed. You must have sufficient credits to complete a conversion.

Purchases: Credits are sold in packs and processed via Stripe. We do not store payment card details.

Refunds: Unused credits are non-refundable. Refunds or replacement credits may be issued only if a conversion fails or a technical problem occurs.

Expiry: Purchased credits do not expire.

Future Changes: We may introduce subscriptions in the future; any changes will be communicated in advance.

7. Document Handling

Uploaded documents and converted outputs are stored securely for 30 days, after which they are permanently deleted.

Users may download or re-convert their documents during this time.

8. Availability and Beta Disclaimer

Deepnotis is currently offered in beta. While we aim for reliability, formatting errors, outages, or issues may occur.

We may suspend, update, or modify parts of the Service without notice.

We are not liable for data loss, outages, or issues beyond our reasonable control.

We will make best efforts to resolve issues (e.g., by offering free credits or retry opportunities).

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you:

• Violate these Terms.
• Upload unlawful or harmful content.
• Attempt to exploit bugs, bypass credit systems, or misuse the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

Deepnotis is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee perfect results. Errors may arise due to formatting, unsupported languages, or technical limitations.

In no event shall PLAYBLAST LTD be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If unresolved, jurisdiction shall rest with the courts of England.
